School tours — coming Fall 2027

Tours for prospective 2027–2028 families will begin in fall 2027. Check back here in September 2027 for dates and sign-up information.

Quick facts about Miraloma

  • School hours: 7:50am - 2:05pm on M, T, TH, F and 7:50am-12:50pm on Wednesdays (every Wednesday is early release across SFUSD)

  • Grades TK-5th: The Miraloma community includes approximately 340 students and their families

    • 2 Transitional Kindergarten (TK) class; two classes each for Kindergarten, 4th and 5th grades; 3 classes each 1st, 2nd and 3rd grades. Next school year, we will have 1 TK and three classes for Kindergarten.

    • 2 special day classes (Kinder-2nd & 3rd-5th) for students with Autism

  • Current class size maximum: 22 students in grades TK-3rd, 33 students in grades 4th/5th.

    • For Kindergarten, there are 66 spots total (3 classes x 22 students).

    • For Transitional Kindergarten (TK), there are 20 spots total.

  • After school programming: There are two options available currently (Learn more here):

    • On-site after school program through the YMCA.

    • Off-site program nearby at Miraloma Park through SF Rec & Parks.

  • Enrichment programs: We offer a number of enrichment programs including:

    • The Art committee is a collaboration between teachers, staff, and parents in promoting and supporting visual arts, music, movement, and writing. 

    • SF Arts Education: Through a partnership with SFArtsEd, Miraloma contracts with several working artists to teach: Movement & Dance in Kinder and 1st; Drumming in 2nd and 3rd grade; Drama & Theater in 4th and 5th grades.

    • Instrumental Music: SFUSD provides music instruction by a credentialed music teacher for 4th and 5th grades. Students may choose instruction on the flute, violin, clarinet or trumpet.

    • Ceramics workshops in TK-5 grades with on-site kiln with Arts teacher.

    • Gardening opportunities with the classroom teachers.

    • We also have a full-time PE teacher and a dedicated gymnasium.

  • An active and engaged community: We have an active PTA that hosts community events and raises funds for special programs.
