Congratulations and welcome to Miraloma! Below is important information about joining the Miraloma community, the upcoming school year, how to stay in the loop on everything, and fun activities planned for our newest families. We look forward to meeting you soon!
ACCEPT YOUR PLACEMENT AT MIRALOMA
All new families must accept their placement by March 27, 2025. Please follow the directions on the assignment letter that was mailed to you by the SFUSD or check the SFUSD website. If you do not register your student by the deadline mentioned in your letter, you may lose your student’s spot at Miraloma. View key dates here.
The 2025-2026 School Year begins on Monday, August 18, 2025. Students who do not attend within the first three days of school will be withdrawn. If you have enrolled but do not plan to attend, please notify the school or contact the Educational Placement Center. SFUSD Calendar is here.
SCHOOL COMMUNICATIONS
All parents/guardians, please do the following:
IMPORTANT: SIGN UP for the Official Miraloma E-mail List
All official school and PTA communication is digital; we use ParentSquare as our primary communications tool. Once school is officially underway and final TK and Kindergarten classroom rosters are available, you will receive an invitation to join ParentSquare. In the meantime, once you sign up for communications, you will be added to a class-specific Whatsapp group to connect with other families, set up playdates, learn about sports teams, grade-wide camping trips and more! Please note that this Whatsapp group is an unofficial school channel, so please ensure you’re added to ParentSquare by the start of the school year.
CLASSROOM ASSIGNMENTS
Classroom assignments for students will be sent to each family via ParentSquare (Please make sure you are on the school email list.) the week before school begins. For Kinders, final placement will be confirmed at the end of the first week of school. Please understand that the class assignments are final and we will not accept parent requests to move students. In rare circumstances, students may have to change classes in the first 2 weeks of school if the grade-level team and the Principal determines there is a need and this decision will be made solely by the school staff. Thank you for your support and understanding in this process.
SCHOOL SUPPLIES
At Miraloma, we are very fortunate that school supplies for all children are provided by the PTA, so you do not need to purchase supplies for your child specifically. #bestnewsever
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS
There are two after school programs available. One on-site program through YMCA, and one off-site program in "Sandy Park" next to our school through SF Recreation & Parks. Registration info is available on our After School Programs page.
ONCE SCHOOL STARTS
You will receive our weekly newsletter, the Dragon Digest. Please read it every week to stay in the know!
Please fill out the Multipurpose Family Income Form from the School District each year -- we're looking for 100% participation!
Get your PTA Membership (after July 1st) and find out more about events and activities you can help out with.
