Welcome to Miraloma, Dragons!

You're in — congratulations! We are so excited to welcome your family to the Miraloma community. Here's everything you need to know to get ready for the first day.

First things first

The 2026–2027 school year begins Monday, August 17, 2026. Students who do not attend within the first three days will be withdrawn. If you've enrolled but won't be attending, please notify the school or contact the SFUSD Educational Placement Center.

What to expect before school starts

  • Classroom assignments will be sent via ParentSquare the week before school begins. For Kindergarteners, final placement is confirmed at the end of the first week. Class assignments are final.

  • School supplies are provided by the PTA — you do not need to purchase anything for your child. #bestnewsever

  • After school programs: Two options are available — an on-site YMCA program and an off-site program through SF Rec & Parks at Sandy Park next door.

Stay in the loop

All official school and PTA communication goes through ParentSquare. Once school is underway and classroom rosters are finalized, you'll receive an invitation to join. In the meantime, sign up for the official email list so you don't miss anything.

Once you sign up, you'll also be added to a grade-level WhatsApp group — a great way to connect with other families, set up playdates, and hear about sports teams and camping trips.

Once school starts

  • Read the Dragon Digest — our weekly newsletter — every week to stay in the know

  • Fill out the Multipurpose Family Income Form from the school district each year (we aim for 100% participation!)
