Our school has the best teachers and staff, first-rate educational instruction, and a warm, inclusive, and safe environment for our students. But to maintain this level of enrichment, we must raise beyond what the state and district can provide.
Your gift helps ensure Miraloma continues to be a place where learning is doing; where P.E., the arts, music, and theater are celebrated and shared; where all students have access to classroom technology, school supplies, field trips and daily snack. Your donation provides for smaller class sizes in 4/5th grades and reading and learning specialists that allow accessibility to students with different learning styles. And your support helps to attract and retain the best and brightest teachers.
In order to keep these enrichments and programs, we need to reach our fundraising goal of about $1140 per student.
Your donations and other fundraising activities support programs such as:
Full-time PE teacher
Full-time class reduction teacher, reducing 4th/5th grade class sizes to 26 students (vs. 33 district-wide)
Arts program, including sing-a-long, visual arts, and dance
Gardening/environmental education (with chickens!)
Fresh, seasonal, and locally-grown daily snacks
Expanded technology program, e.g. Chromebook laptops
Free classroom supplies and field trips for all students
Ongoing professional development to support our teachers
Differentiated learning through 2 literacy and 4 learning specialists
Community events, recess staff, building/grounds upkeep and more!
Your donation is 100% tax deductible. You can also donate by check to Miraloma PTA (write "Annual Fund" in the comment field). Drop the check in the locked PTA box in the school office. We appreciate your generosity!
In addition to the Annual Fund, key events and programs, there are few other times through the year where you can further contribute to Miraloma through our community fundraising events and shopping programs.
Shopping -- We can earn thousands of dollars a year from Amazon and Mollie Stone's if all families participate! Don't forget to bookmark the Miraloma-specific Amazon link, show your community card when you shop at Mollie Stone's, and mention Miraloma when you shop at Sports Basement!
Fun Run (October) -- Families, friends, and companies sponsor our students as they participate in this fun Run-a-Thon and picnic.
Giving Tuesday (in November -- a matching campaign that drives support for our Annual Fund)
Book Fair -- funds new books for our library while supporting our students' love of reading
Auction (March) -- This evening auction is a lively party for the grown ups, including silent and live auctions, wine raffle, live DJ/dancing, and taste a delectable spread of food and drinks.
