Halloween Parade

Students, teachers, and Miraloma staff dress up for Halloween and show off their costumes around the upper playground for the Halloween parade. The Halloween parade has been a long time tradition at Miraloma School! This usually takes place at 1pm on Halloween or the nearest school day. Check the School Calendar for more details.

Chinese New Year

For several years Miraloma Elementary students of all ages have proudly participated in San Francisco's annual Chinese New Year Parade. Under the auspices of the Chung Ngai Dance Troupe, a Chinese cultural and performing arts group based in Chinatown, students have learned a variety of traditional Chinese dance routines. Performing in the largest Chinese New Year parade that occurs outside of China has been an honor and unforgettable experience for our Miraloma children.

The Chung Ngai Dance Troupe also performs a Chinese lion dance at Miraloma, and Miraloma students perform the lantern dance prior to the lion dance at the upper yard. Parents are welcome to watch and enjoy the celebration for Chinese New Year.
