After School Programs

Miraloma Educational Enrichment Program (MEEP)

MEEP, located at Miraloma Elementary School, is an academic and tutorial program for students from K-5. MEEP is viewed as an extension of the Miraloma Elementary School community and adheres to SFUSD rules and policies. MEEP offers a safe and nurturing environment with experienced and qualified staff. Most of the MEEP teachers and staff have been working with the program for over 5 years and we find that the consistency of our teachers adds another layer to our program.
Our Summer camp this year at St. Finn Barr School  is a great way for our incoming Kindergarten students to get to know one another prior to school year starting on August 20th. Students will not only get to make great friends, they'll also have a blast with some of our awesome themes. Summer Camp sessions begin June 11th-July 20th. Should you have any questions feel free to contact our Executive Assistant Jacynth Roberts at meepoffice@gmail.com.

MEEP has full-time (5 days) and part-time (3 days) slots available. Teacher-student ratio is 1:14.

YMCA

The Stonestown Family Y's After-School Program offers students extended academic support, unique enrichment classes, and active recreation. The program runs Monday through Friday, 1:50 - 6:15PM. Please note: Students MAY be picked-up early from the program in accordance with our grant's new early release policies.

Each day, participating students are provided with homework assistance, subject-specific front-loading, and additional standards-aligned learning opportunities. Students are also given a safe, structured environment for after-school youth sports and play. For more information, feel free to call (415) 690-6403 or e-mail Wendy Osborne (Lead Teacher) or Kim Kornmann (Site Coordinator).

In order to meet the needs of the community and to continue to provide a robust and sustainable After School Program, we will be charging an annual registration fee. This fee will be $50-$400 per student based on a sliding scale. There are a limited number of subsidized spaces available for students attending the after school program at Miraloma Elementary School. If student is not currently on the school's free/reduced lunch list, family will have to submit the financial assistance application with income verification so we can determine their fee. Check registration form for details on subsidy.

Registration for the Academic Year 2013-2014 has to be submitted to the Miraloma Main Office (in the YMCA mailbox), or directly via e-mail to Kim Kornmann by May 10, 2013

YMCA is a full-time (5 days) program. Teacher-student ratio is 1:20.
