Kidpower Workshop for Parents/Caregivers
PTA programs is coordinating a Kidpower Workshop for our community [flyer with full description of the workshop]. We’re excited to do this work because we know the impact Kidpower can have. Kidpower People Safety skills don’t just help people be safe– they help people communicate effectively, strengthen peer relationships, build confidence, and have more fun. You are enthusiastically invited to sign up for this Parent Workshop! Kidpower workshops are known for being fun, active, and upbeat, and we're confident we’ll walk away with skills we can use right away to help our kids be safer and have more fun everywhere they go. Here are the details:
When: Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at 6:30-8:30PM
Where: Miraloma Elementary
Who Is Invited to Register: This workshop is open to all parents, caregivers and staff working with elementary school-age children. The workshop is for adults. Free on-site childcare for school-age children is available through advance request.
Cost: $10/person. No one turned away for lack of funds.
CLASS CANCELATION: We will cancel the workshop if we do not have 40 participants by January 15, and will return your payment at that time.
INDIVIDUAL CANCELATION: We will provide payment in full to Kidpower on January 15. After that date, none of us – including us – will be able to get a refund, just like we can’t get a refund on theater tickets. Hopefully no last minute surprises will prevent you from participating! But, just in case, please know that while you can’t get a refund, you can give your space to another adult, either as a gift or through whatever you choose to arrange together. Just let us know who to expect so we can welcome them appropriately.
